Pixar Animation Studios
Randy Berrett joined Pixar Animation Studios in October 1996 as an artist on “Toy Story 2,” focusing on graphics, character design and sketch art. He continued as a sketch artist on “Monsters, Inc.,” an environment art director on “Finding Nemo,” and then as a matte painter on several feature films including “Cars,” “Ratatouille,” “Up,” “Toy Story 3,” “Cars 2,” “Brave,” and “Monsters University.” In addition, he acted as a sketch artist or matte painter on the short films “Boundin’,” “One Man Band,” “Presto,” “Day and Night,” and “Lava.” As an artist, Berrett creates concept designs exploring the film’s setting, layout and design. Most recently, Berrett worked as a volume metric clouds artist on “The Good Dinosaur.”
Prior to Pixar, Berrett was a freelance artist. Raised in Ogden, Utah, Berrett attended Weber State College in Utah, and Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. He currently resides in El Cerrito, CA.
