Pixar Animation Studios
Lou Romano was born in San Diego, California. At an early age, he took an interest in drawing and studied theater arts, performing in plays throughout junior high and high schools. He went on to study animation at the California Institute of The Arts.
Since then he has worked as an illustrator and designer on various projects including The Powerpuff Girls and The Iron Giant. He came to Pixar in 2000 where he worked for the first time as production designer on The Incredibles. His responsibilities included the supervising of character and environmental design as well as designing the film’s color and lighting.
Lou also acted as Linguini on Disney(Pixar’s Ratatouille.
Some of his creative influences are Sleeping Beauty designer Eyvind Earle and the illustrators Alice and Martin Provensen. He lives in Berkeley, California.
